The Final Four is now FINAL with Michigan St. and Duke's win
It was an exciting game between the Michigan State Spartans and the Tennessee Volunteers. With 11.2 seconds left on the clock and the score 69-69 there was a lot of pressure on Scotty Hopson to make one free throw to give Tennessee the lead, unfortunately, he could not make it happen. The Spartans then got the ball and went all the way down the court and got fouled with 1.8 seconds to go. Raymar Morgan had to make at least one free throw to put his team on top and he did just that. With 1.6 seconds left the Senior Vol, J.P. Prince, throws up a prayer and comes up just shy of the basket. A key player was the Spartans Durrell Summers with 8-10 FG and 4-6 from beyond the arc and he ended the game with 21 points to help Michigan State get into the Final Four for the second year in a row. In the second game today, Duke's Kyle Singler did not have one of his better games but Nolan Smith stepped up to the plate and earned 29 points in their 78-71 win over Baylor. The Blue Devils earn their first Final Four appearance since 2004. The Final Four will be #2 West Virginia vs #1 Duke and #5 Michigan State vs the #5 Butler Bulldogs. The Final Four games will occur on April 3rd in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Thanks for the update Sam. I didn't get to watch the games today so it was nice to read the summaries. I'm gonna bookmark this page so I can come here often. Who do you like in the championship game?
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike!!! I am likin' Butler because they are going to be playing 6 miles away from their campus so it is like a home game and they have been lookin' great while beating Syracuse and K-State. What about you?
